LEARN DUTCH!
Whatever reason you have to learn Dutch, the Bethesda Dutch School offers you the perfect way to acquire the language skills you need.
Our classes for adults are taught by native speakers with a passion for and a lot of experience in teaching Dutch as a foreign language.
The upcoming school year, we will offer group classes at 4 different levels: beginner, beginner +, intermediate, and advanced.
All classes are given once a week, starting on Tuesday September 12, 2023. Weekday classes end on June 19 (30 weeks) and Saturday classes end by the end of May 2024 (24 weeks). Our classes are on a 3 weeks of class/1 week off schedule. For all dates see the calender.
We aim to create a relaxed atmosphere in the classroom, where you will have fun while learning!
INFORMATION ABOUT THE LEVELS
- Beginner:
No prior courses in Dutch, nor other experience with the Dutch language.
- Beginner plus:
You took a basic Dutch course or acquired sufficient knowledge to participate in simple conversations. You can express yourself in the present tense. You are ready to start using more complex sentences, past tenses and expand your vocabulary in a wider range of topics.
- Intermediate:
You are familiar with most Dutch syntax and grammar rules, are comfortable expressing yourself in a variety of everyday situations and are looking to expand your knowledge by learning more complex language constructs.
- Advanced:
You are comfortable in more complex conversations, can discuss current affairs and are ready to significantly expand your vocabulary.

Lessons are available, please indicate your preference for zoom or in-person
All weekday classes are taught on Zoom.
For smaller groups we may be able to offer semi-private lessons.
Teachers offering zoom classes will organize sporadic in-person classes in the form of a social event, should the students be interested.

Cost
The course costs $775, this includes all materials.
Payment by credit card is possible, but will come with an extra fee of $25.
Please pay your invoice on time, a late fee of $25 dollars will be added for payments after October 1.
